Welcome!

Hi! Welcome to my blog Sugar Free Babee.  After three years of blogging about Fashion, I decided to start another blog about my journey on quitting sugar and change my lifestyle by eating fresh and whole foods *as I unwrap my third Cadbury crunchie easter egg*

Why you ask? Well I turned 30 in February 2013, and life is really going QUICK! Too quick and I don't even have children yet. Pretty much my whole life I have eaten junk food, fast food and processed foods. I don't eat it EVERYDAY (ok, maybe I do) but there are days I have. I'm not doing it to lose weight, I'm doing this because it's starting to effect my health and to be honest I always feel tried and like CRAP!

I've tried a few diets and detoxes but after buying a few books on quitting sugar, it made me realise it's time to really start eating healthy. The two books that are my bibles at that moment are Sarah Wilson's I Quit Sugar which you can buy if you click on the link, and David Gillespie's Sweet Poison. I'm pretty stoked that both are Australians so their recipes and ingredients are easy to find and follow. I am also following a low FODMAPS diet as well. I'll get into that in more detailed throughout the blog.

This is my second attempt on quitting sugar. My first time I lasted 2 weeks. I've started my second attempt 2 weeks ago. My first week I did AWESOME! But of course I've fallen of the wagon a few times. But this time I have the help of a good friend Kate who has started up a Nutritionists business in my town. I've had two sessions with her so far. I've been instructed to make changes slowly, which is definitely the smartest thing to do. The reason I wanted to start this blog so I document every I did and to keep me motivated.

In my blog you'll find menu plans, recipes, exercise tips and just posts about general life. I hope you can relate to any of my subjects and we can help each other along the way.

It's Good Friday! Happy Easter everyone and don't eat too many easter eggs!
